Containers per trasporto del tutto simili ai containers di uso generale ad eccezione del tetto non rigido ma dotato di una copertura mobile e flessibile. Tali containers possono avere parti trasversali mobili o rimovibili al di sopra delle loro aperture alle estremità. Questi containers sono principalmente usati per trasportare prodotti finiti pesanti e/o ingombranti, che possono essere movimentati solo con gru o ponti di laminazione.
Containers alti la metà con tetto aperto e ribaltabili sono specificamente progettati per il trasporto di minerali sfusi.
